Future Potential tense - English Sindhi Grammar

Definition

A verb that shows the ability of doing some work in future is called Future Potential Tense.

Note:- This tense shows the ability of doing work.

Example

1. He will be able to earn lots of money.
2. I shall be able to teach English in an easy way.

Helping Verbs

Note :- "Shall be able to" and "Will be able to" are helping verbs of Future Potential tense.

Example

1. My son will be able to be like me.
2. My sons will be able to lie to me.
3. I shall be able to exchange my dress with him.

Formation(Syntax)

Conjugation

Note:- "Shall be able to" is followed by (I and We) and "Will be able to" is followed by other subjects.

Example

1. I shall be able to despise bad habits.
2. We shall be able to despise bad habits.
3. You will be able to despise bad habits.
4. He will be able to despise bad habits.
5. She will be able to despise bad habits.
6. It will be able to despise bad habits.
7. They will be able to despise bad habits.
8. Aqeeb will be able to despise bad habits.
9. Aqeeb and Mushtaq will be able to despise bad habits.

Emphatic Sentences

Note:- The "shall be able to" is used instead of "will be able to" for emphatic sentences.

Example

1. Our television shall be able to show good programmes.
2. You shall be able to revise your course.
3. Her Boss shall be able to get nothing.

Sentence Transformations

Note:- A transformation of an Assertive sentence into Negative sentence, Interrogative sentence and Interrogative Negative sentence.

Assertive

1. My love will be able to succeed.
2. I shall be able to deliver my speech.
3. Government will be able to declare today as a holiday.

Negative

1. My love will not be able to succeed.
2. I shall not be able to deliver my speech.
3. Government will not be able to declare today as a holiday.

Interrogative

1. Will My love be able to succeed?
2. Shall I be able to deliver my speech?
3. Will Government be able to declare today as a holiday?

Interrogative Negative

1. Will My love not be able to succeed?
2. Shall I not be able to deliver my speech?
3. Will Government not be able to declare today as a holiday?

Contractions

1. They'll be able to catch fish. (They will be able to catch fish.)
2. She'll be able to fetch glass of water. (She will be able to fetch glass of water.)
